Spring is here, Change is coming

Welcome to the ‘Plogs’ (Pub-Logs)

This will be the diary of a mad couple deciding to take on the challenge of re-opening a beautiful riverside pub.

This week, construction has started at The Jolly, with the interiors being ripped out ready for the next 5 weeks of change. The builders have made swift work in prepping the pub which means hopefully, construction will be quick and painless!

We’ve been working hard sorting out social media pages, booking pages, getting internet and till systems sorted and booked in. Slowly but surely, interviews are being set up, website and pages are getting an overhaul and now construction has started. Spring has really started to bloom just in time for a whole new lease of life for The Jolly Sailor.

Jon & I have officially left our site manager positions and we are having a well deserved break from the pub life for only a short few days so we can visit family back in Sussex and pack our home and two cat’s (Chuckie and Obi) ready for the big move to Saltford.

Over the next 5 weeks, I will be updating this page, plus our social media sites for everyone to be able to follow along with the progress! This isn’t just our pub, we want to share this amazing adventure with everyone, from our family and friends to the local’s who have kept this pub alive through thick and thin.

We look forward to meeting our new community and we hope to see you all soon!
